In the past 10 months, the Revenue Investigation Department has filed a case in the High and District Courts with a demand of more than 10 billion for revenue leakage and foreign exchange embezzlement.

During this period, cases have been filed in various courts against 321 people on charges of involvement in foreign currency embezzlement and revenue leakage. According to Bigo, a jail sentence of up to 5 years has been demanded against them for recovering the leaked revenue. 

Revenue leakage has been seen mostly in stolen electronic cigarettes (vapes), gold, shoes and liquor bags from China. Issue of fake bills is also an area of ​​revenue leakage.

department, 48 cases have been registered with a demand of around 5 billion for revenue leakage during this period. According to him, a lawsuit has been filed against 160 people for revenue leakage from July to the end of May of this year and the demand is to recover the leaked revenue. Also, according to the law, they have been demanded to be imprisoned for up to 5 years . According to the details released by the

department on Friday, the prosecution has been prosecuted in the High Court with a demand of 2.59 billion bigos and 5.19 billion as a 100% penalty related to revenue leakage. During this period, the department has demanded a bond of 1.16 billion from various firms and companies after determining that there is a revenue leakage. According to Ghimire, 55.18 million of the bond amount of revenue leakage has been sent to the Internal Revenue Department and the Customs Department for recovery. 

Cases have been filed in different district courts against 161 people for misappropriation of foreign currency. More than 5 billion have been demanded in 117 cases including fines and fines. The largest amount of foreign currency embezzlement is 25 million 19 million 24 thousand Euros and US dollars recovered from Kathmandu's Tokha in the first week of March. He claimed that during his tenure, he did not cause any unnecessary pain to any businessmen and did not cause any unnecessary pain by raiding the commercial firm based on short notice and taking control of the container from the customs point.
