National Best Farmer Award has been distributed to 14 farmers across the country.

In a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development at Rashtrapati Bhavan Shital Niwas, President Ramchandra Paudel presented awards to two people from one province representing all the seven provinces. 

The farmers who will be awarded are Suresh Kumar Mehta (Arya Krishi Firm) and Ramesh Sah (Ramesh Krishi Firm) from Koshi Province, Bharat Kumar Yadav (Shambhunath Fish Firm) and Hira Bahadur Thapa Magar (Nijgarh Banana Agriculture) from Madhesh Province. Chet Prasad Dhakal (Kalika Livestock Development Center) and Dayaram Machamsi (Greenline Agro Pvt Ltd) from Bagmati Province, Chhiring Dhok Gurung (Nwang Hisi Agriculture and Livestock Organic Firm) and Batuli Tiwari (Mitra Watika) from Gandaki Province. Agriculture Firm), Jaipal Maurya (Khadanna Wali) and Subas Kurmi (Shanti Unnat  Animal Husbandry and Fish Firm) from Lumbini Province.

Similarly, Gobind Oli (vegetable farming) and Bharatnath Yogi (orange farming) from Karnali province and Prem Prasad Joshi (Khaptad livestock and agriculture firm) and Lok Bahadur Thapa from Sudurpaschim province. (Kailashedhri Agriculture and Poultry Firm Pvt Ltd) are . 

Awarded farmers have been given two lakh rupees each. Addressing the award ceremony, President  Ramchandra Paudel mentioned that the young manpower should be encouraged by conducting youth-centric start-up programs by giving priority to agricultural business .

Addressing the prize distribution ceremony, the minister said that according to the 'National Best Farmer Award Program Implementation Procedure, 2081' approved by the Government of Nepal, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, all 7 across the country He mentioned that the high appreciation of the contribution of 14 farmers who were selected as the best farmers by the provincial ministry is a historic opportunity.
