Karnali state government has prepared to bring a budget of around 31 to 32 billion for the next financial year 2082/83. Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Rajib Vikram Shah will present the next year's budget in the provincial assembly meeting held on Sunday afternoon.

The Karnali government, which brought a budget of 31.41 billion 41 thousand rupees in the current financial year, increased the ministries by 3 percent and gave a ceiling of 31.59 billion rupees. The Karnali government has given priority to the multi-year resource-guaranteed and successively incomplete plans for the coming year. The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning has informed that the work of budget preparation has almost reached its final form. According to the ministry, various development plans have been prioritized for the coming year through the project bank. For which nearly 23 thousand plans have been recommended. 

Karnali government from the federal government for the next year  Approximately 16 billion 40 million will be given as a subsidy, and the budget has been allocated by estimating the cash balance based on 70 percent of the current financial year's expenses. Ravilal Sharma, Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, said that preparations are being made to bring a budget of approximately 10.80 billion rupees for revenue distribution. According to him, the budget has been prepared to be brought around this year after the subsidy has decreased by 640 million from the current year. 

The Karnali government has spent nearly 40 percent of the budget in the current financial year. As of Friday, 32 percent of the capital expenditure and 54 percent of the current expenditure have been reported by the State Controller of Accounts Office. According to the new allocation act, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning distributed the ceiling to the ministries on May 11th and the ministries selected the plans and sent them by May 25th.
