Share of the week: Investors in hydropower companies are top earners

During the week, the overall NEPSE index increased by 14.42 points, while the share prices of 140 companies increased, while the prices of 108 companies decreased. This week, hydropower, finance, hotel and tourism, other and investment sub-groups attracted investors.

 

Hydropower sub-group 5.51, finance 4.33, hotel and tourism 2.21, others 1.23 and investment sub-group increased by 0.24 percent, according to NP Stocks. The declining subgroups were non-life insurance, finance, banking, development banks, life insurance, manufacturing and processing and trading subgroups. 

As in the previous weeks, the share market was dominated by hydropower companies. Hydropower dominated the list of 10 companies that earned in the stock market this week. In the list of 10 companies that earned in the stock market, there are 9 hydropower companies and only one finance company.

Among the companies that gained in the stock market were Pure Energy, Butwal Power Company, Shree Investment Finance, Synergy Power Development, River Falls Power, Chilime Hydropower, Union Hydropower, Sanima My Hydropower, Himalayan Power Partners and Dolti Power.

Pure Energy 60.98 percent, Butwal Power Company 21.01, Shree Investment Finance 20.80, Synergy Power Development 19.25, River Falls Power 18.14, Chilime Hydropower 16.56, Union Hydropower 14.73, Sanima Mai Hydropower 12.56, Himalayan Power Partners 12.07 and Dolti Power Share price increased by 11.27 percent.

Among the 10 companies that lost were Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals, Upkar Laguvitta, Geogra Energy Development, Crest Micro Life Insurance. Samaj Laguvitta, Saptakoshi Bikas Bank, Green Development Bank, Dordi Khola Hydropower, Asian Hydropower, Nepal Microinsurance Company remained. Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals Company's share price fell the most by 17.23 percent.

Upkar Laguvitta 13.15, Geofa Energy Development 10.49, Crest Micro Life Insurance 9.38, Samaj Laguvitta 8.32, Saptakoshi Bikas Bank 8.07, Green Development Bank 7.67, Dordi Khola Jalvidyut 6.12, Asian Hydropower 5.71, Nepal Micro Insurance 5.25 percent share price decreased. Investors in these companies lost the value of their assets.  In terms of

turnover, hydropower companies also dominated. Radhi Electricity Company had the highest turnover this week. During the week, Radhi Electricity Company alone has a turnover of 2 billion 97 crore 79 lakh rupees.

Ngadi Group Power 2.86 billion 33 million, Sanima Mai Hydropower 2.48 billion 49 million, Universal Power Company 2.46 billion 7 million, Butwal Power 2.3 billion 48 million, Arun Kabeli Power 1.69 billion 86 million, NRN Infrastructure and Development 1.66 billion 93 million, Chilime Hydropower 1.63 billion 46 million, CEDB Holdings has a turnover of 1.24 billion 45 million, Arun Valley Hydropower Development has a turnover of 1.16 billion 67 million. 

According to NEPSE, 50.41 billion rupees were traded in five trading days. 9 billion 1374 million on Sunday, 8 billion 6893 million on Monday, 10.16 billion on Tuesday, 9 billion 907 million on Wednesday. On the last day of weekly trading, Thursday was the highest trading in three months. According to NEPSE data, there was a turnover of 12 billion 51 crore 53 lakh rupees on Thursday. 

NEPSE has increased by 14.42 points in the week and the size of the stock market (total market capitalization) has increased by 24 billion 26 million rupees. The total market capitalization, which was Rs 43 trillion 99 billion 1 crore last Thursday, has remained at Rs 44 trillion 23 billion 3 crore on Thursday. Total market capitalization is calculated by multiplying the total listed shares by the same day's share price.

Increasing capitalization means an increase in the market value of listed shares. On this basis, an increase in capitalization is analyzed as an increase in the value of the investor's assets.
