"The season of lychee does not last for many days," said Karki, "so it is hasty to pick and send it to the market."

In 2053, Karki migrated from the Foxing hills of Foxingkot to Bensi Basti in Hongi Madhuwa. Karki, who said that the income in the lake will be less and that the besin has fallen after suffering, now he is getting more than 500,000 lychee income only. With the help and support of Mrs. Rampyari, he said that he was able to plant litchi. Now there are 75 litchi plants bearing fruit in Karki's garden. There are plans to plant more litchis this year . Karki, who found out that the village council will give plants as a subsidy, said that he is preparing to plant some more plants. 

He said that he was able to get at least 5,000 to 10,000 income from a single plant. He said that he works for litchi regardless of sun, rain, winter or rain. Not only the Karki couple, there has been a campaign to grow cash crop lychee in various villages of Rambha Rural Municipality-1, Hungi. Ward president Ishwar Kafle said that the campaign to plant lychee has now started in Aserdi, Sangaha, Majhuwa, Pantar, Sathi and other villages.

"With the help of the village and the ward, the introduction of Hungi is about to change," he said. Instead of having to carry them before, now they are able to send them to the market by vehicle from house to house. Hariprasad Bhandari, a local resident, said that since the municipality has been campaigning to create lychee pocket areas since the current financial year, the attraction of farmers has increased.

Municipalities, ward offices and local residents have realized that income can be obtained from litchis, so a house-to-house campaign has been conducted . "It does not mean that every house does not have litchi," he said, "but the number of commercial litchi farmers has reached more than 50." He said that a single farmer has started earning at least 2 lakh to 5 lakh.

The data of the rural municipality shows that 20 million rupees have started coming in annually from lychees in the Hungi area . The rural municipality claims that prosperity has entered the village of Hungi from Lichi. On the other hand, migration from here has also been stopped. In recent years, most young people do not want to go abroad. Suman Pachai, a young farmer, said that all the households here have started a campaign to grow litchi. According to him, it is necessary to do more management for this along with the campaign to plant litchi .

"Young people should be attracted to lychee cultivation," he said, "grading, pruning, and agricultural tools should be managed to facilitate lychee picking."

Another youth Vishnu Pachai said that almost all the farmers here are attracted towards lychee after starting to get good income with little investment and little effort. According to him, along with creating a commercial pocket area of ​​lychee, the rural municipality should give subsidy based on production per kg. "If we give subsidies based on production, more farmers would be enthusiastic," he said, "From next year, the rural municipality should give subsidies based on production or transportation expenses at least 2 rupees per kg." If that happens, the farmers will be helped in producing more and marketing.' 

Lychee grows well in Hongi on the banks of Kaligandaki river. They are using lychees in corn, millet and wheat fields and get millions of income annually. Pachhai, a young farmer, said that he was able to pay for his children's education, household expenses, as well as purchase household goods from Litchi. If they get technical assistance, fertilizer seed subsidy and seedlings, more farmers in the neighborhood will also cultivate commercial litchi. Although the local level has moved forward with support in commercial pocket areas of litchi, the subsidy has not yet started.
