The NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, rose by 23.19 points on Monday. After increasing by 0.88 percent compared to the previous day, the overall NEPSE closed at 2,653.09 points. The NEPSE, which had fallen continuously for the previous four trading days, rose by double digits on Monday.

Out of those that came into trading on Monday, the share price of 191 companies increased, while 56 companies decreased and 1 company remained stable.

On that day, 1 crore 75 lakh 1 thousand 802 shares were bought and sold in 78 thousand 848 share transactions. A transaction worth 8 billion 68 crore 93 lakh rupees has been made in that purchase and sale. Compared to the previous day, the transaction amount has decreased. On Sunday, there was a transaction worth 9 billion 136 million rupees in the stock market.

Among the 13 sub-sectors that traded on Monday, indices for hotel and tourism, life insurance and trade declined. After the increase in the index of all other sub-groups, there is a double-digit increase in the overall NEPSE.
