Team mobilization to understand Lumpy Skin and African Swine Flu situations

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has mobilized a team to understand the situation of Lumpy Skin and African Swine Flu.

Currently, the Ministry has mobilized its subordinate agencies to study the objective situation of the disease and identify effective measures for immediate control.

Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Ramnath Adhikari chaired the meeting of the relevant officials today and it was decided to form a team under the leadership of a senior veterinarian under the Animal Services Department, with the participation of the Animal Disease Research Laboratory, related officials under the Provincial Ministry and the local level, and immediately deploy to the areas where the disease has appeared, according to the minister's secretariat.

The Ministry has also stated that the Focal Point has been designated for daily/periodic reporting of the disease situation by the Animal Services Department to Dr. Tapendra Prasad Bohra, Senior Veterinarian of the Ministry's Animal Health Division.  . The

meeting has assessed the risk of animal diseases transmitted by insects such as mosquitoes, which may appear with the onset of the rainy season, and has also instructed to prepare the cost of vaccines and labor required for disease control and vaccination work, and mobilize the disease control work with the participation of all three levels of government.
