NEPSE, which increased by 1.60 points last Monday, decreased by 35.73 points on Tuesday and 11.97 points on Wednesday. The decline in NEPSE continued on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
On Thursday, a total of 94 companies' share prices increased, 153 companies' prices decreased and one company remained stable. According to NEPSE, 7 billion 978 million rupees were traded from 77 thousand 670 times of buying and selling. A total of 1 crore 71 lakh 8 thousand 809 shares were bought and sold.
With the decline of NEPSE, the size of the stock market (total market capitalization) has shrunk by 88 billion 887 million rupees in three trading days. The total market capitalization, which was 44 trillion 87 billion 89 billion rupees on Monday, has remained at 43 trillion 99 billion 1 billion rupees on Thursday. Total market capitalization is calculated by multiplying the total listed shares by the same day's share price. A decrease in capitalization means a decrease in the market value of the listed shares. Share prices of Butwal Power Company rose by 9.98%, Pure Energy by 9.98%, Varun Hydropower by 9.96% and Saptakoshi Development Bank by 9.50%. Share prices of Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals fell by 9.30, Green Development Bank by 3.90, NMB 50 by 3.67, Super My Hydropower by 3.55 and Jan Utthan Samuthya Lagufitta by 3.47 percent.
Radhi Vidyut Company, Universal Power Company, Butwal Power Company, Ngadi Group Power and Arun Kabeli Power were ahead in terms of turnover. 91 crore 23 lakhs of Radhi Electricity Company, 64 crore 37 lakhs of Universal Power Company, 49 crores 55 lakhs of Butwal Power Company, 43 crores 35 lakhs of Ngadi Group Power and 29 crores 3 lakhs of Arun Kabeli Power have been traded.
Universal Power Company shares are the most traded. According to NEPSE, 14 lakh 5 thousand 405 shares of Universal Power Company, 11 lakh 19 thousand 113 shares of Radhi Electricity Company, 11 lakh 12 thousand 259 shares of Ngadi Group Power, 10 lakh 57 thousand 285 shares of Arun Kabeli Power and 8 lakh 9 thousand 251 shares of Butwal Power Company were bought and sold.
