Tiken NEPSE growth, down 36 points

The NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, fell by 35.73 points on Tuesday. NEPSE decreased by 1.32 percent and closed at 2,658.93 points. A total of 34 companies' share prices increased while 214 companies' prices decreased. According to NEPSE, 6 billion 67 billion 95 million rupees were traded from 75 thousand 508 times of buying and selling. A total of 1 crore 55 lakh 38 thousand 474 shares were bought and sold.

NEPSE had closed on a positive note for the previous three trading days. On Tuesday, all subgroups fell. Hotels and tourism decreased by 147.44 points, life insurance by 98.87 points, non-life insurance by 85.09 points and microfinance by 61.34 points. Pure Energy's share price increased by 10 percent and caused a circuit break. Share price of Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals increased by 9.94%, Upkar Laguvitta by 5.58%, Narayani Bikas Bank by 3.03%, Prabhu Smart Fund by 2.95%.

Saptakoshi Bikas Bank 4.38%, Barahi Hydropower (Public) 3.99%, Prime Commercial Bank 3.95%, Lakshmi Sunrise Bank 3.88%, Suryaday Wami Microfinance 3.86% share price decreased. With the decline of NEPSE, the size of the stock market (total market capitalization) has shrunk by 59 billion 49 billion 84 million rupees. 

The total market capitalization which was 44 trillion 87 billion 89 billion rupees on Monday has remained at 44 trillion 28 billion 40 billion rupees on Tuesday. Total market capitalization is calculated by multiplying the total listed shares by the same day's share price. A decrease in capitalization means a decrease in the market value of the listed shares. On this basis, the decrease in capitalization is analyzed as a decrease in the value of the investor's property.

Radhi Electricity Company, Universal Power Company, Ngadi Group Power, Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals and Butwal Power Company were ahead in terms of turnover. Shares of Radhi Electricity Company worth 601.5 million, Universal Power Company's 411.5 million, Ngadi Group Power's 403 million, Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals' 283.3 million and Butwal Power Company's shares worth 207.7 million have been traded.
