Nepal has made a commitment to the international community by giving priority to the implementation of the labor policy in order to create an inclusive labor market.

Labour, Employment and Social Security Secretary Kushnahari Pushkar made a presentation on behalf of Nepal at the 113th session of the International Labor Conference held in Geneva on Tuesday and promised to promote inclusive labor market policies. Nepal has given priority to the policies and rules of making the informal labor market completely formal. This is within our national priority,'' he said at the conference. We are ready to cooperate with bilateral and multilateral development partners for the promotion of an inclusive labor market. It needs everyone's support and meaningful cooperation," he said. "International solidarity is necessary to achieve our common goals of social justice and sustainable economic transformation." Nepal is a member state elected on behalf of the government in the 'Governing Body' of the ILO. The conference is discussing a wide-ranging agenda of issues that will have a long-term impact on the world of work. Among them are the proposed standards for reducing biological risks in the workplace, the determination of labor standards through the network of digital platforms, the ILO's annual budget and program formalization and new approaches to proper labor transition, the status of international labor standards, social development summits and maritime labor.
