The industrialists of Rupandehi have given mixed reactions to the budget presented by the government in the Federal Parliament on Thursday. They said that overall the budget sounds good. Industrialists said that the best part is that small entrepreneurs do not have to keep bank guarantees. Hari Prasad Aryal, president of Butwal Industry and Commerce Association, said that the budget seems to be trying to connect the issues raised by industrialists.
He said that in terms of local economic development, budget assurance for the construction of Butwal Medical College, allocation of budget for Karshaghat agriculture, 50 percent discount on rent for industries in the industrial area raised good hopes for industrialists.
'The government is facing the problem of not spending the development budget,' he said, 'despite that, it seems promising that the budget has done development in 3 shifts.' Likewise, the president of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Lumbini Province, Tank Prasad Pokhrel, said that the government has included the advice of industrialists in the budget. He said that the budget includes the topic of removing the EXIM code, which is a very good aspect for them. He said that this budget should be considered as a positive aspect in the midst of economic pressure.
"Looking at the size of the budget, we feel that it is not possible to spend it," he said, "It is better to try to improve the policy and make it easier than the allocation of the budget." The issue of not changing the rate of revenue is also a good point, multi-rate VAT is not covered, but the issue of emphasizing more on employment, entrepreneurship, and internal resources seems to be strong.''
He said, "If we cannot find the source, we think that it will create some problems because the internal debt will increase." Thakur Kumar Shrestha, the outgoing president of Siddhartha Industry and Commerce Association, said that it is good that he addressed the International Gautam Buddha Airport as the budget was coming while other issues were welcome. He said that it is necessary to look at the aspect of implementation.
"There is confusion whether there will be enough work to operate it or not," he said, "it has conveyed a positive message to industrialists."
