The NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, closed with an increase of 17.44 points on Wednesday. Compared to the previous day, the overall NEPSE increased by 0.65 percent and closed at 2,693.06 points.

NEPSE, which closed with a small number on Tuesday, saw a double-digit increase on Wednesday. 148 of the companies traded on that day increased their share prices while 97 decreased  And 2 companies remained stable.

27 lakh 59 thousand 547 shares were bought and sold in 77 thousand 316 share transactions. A transaction worth 8 billion 586 million rupees has been made in those purchases. The transaction amount has also increased compared to the previous day.

On Tuesday, there was a turnover of 6 billion 52 crore 78 lakh rupees in the stock market. Among the 13 sub-groups that came into trading on Wednesday, the indices of life insurance, microfinance, non-life insurance and others decreased. After the index of all other sub-groups increased, the overall NEPSE increased by double digits.
