A meeting was held between the Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission Shivraj Adhikari and the newly appointed Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Vishwanath Paudel. In the meeting held at the Planning Commission at Singhdarbar on Tuesday, they discussed the interrelationship and independence of financial policy and monetary policy.
In the meeting, there was also a discussion about facilitating the implementation of the existing policies.
It is mentioned in the statement that there was a discussion on taking the economy to the pre-Covid-19 state and achieving high sustainable and inclusive economic growth as targeted by the plan. During the
discussion, the vice-chairman of the commission informed about the reforms carried out by the National Planning Commission in matters such as financial transfer, re-prioritization of projects, effective implementation of the project bank and medium-term expenditure structure.
Similarly, Rashtra Bank Governor Paudel said that he will facilitate the creation of an investment environment by attracting the private sector in infrastructure development.
