Shivraj Adhikari, Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission, said that internal direct investment will be encouraged to make economic activities sustainable.
On Sunday, in Lalitpur, the Vice-Chairman said that the Commission is trying to work closely with stakeholders on internal employment promotion and reintegration of people who have returned from foreign employment organized by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security in Lalitpur.

While saying that the unemployment rate of neighboring country India was higher than that of Nepal at one time, he said that in recent times, the unemployment rate of Nepal is increasing more than that of India.
The vice-president emphasized that investments should be prioritized in the fields of mining, hotels, restaurants, real estate, construction, and hydroelectricity as jobs can be created.
According to him, the rate of employment development can be increased by increasing investment in sectors such as agriculture, construction, small scale and domestic and making people labor-oriented and for this private and cooperative sector should be stimulated .
