In five days trading, NEPSE increased on three days and decreased on two days
The NEPSE index rose by around 77 points in weekly trading. Compared to the previous Thursday, the NEPSE index increased by about 76.7 points.
In the five trading days of this week, NEPSE increased on three days and decreased on two days. NEPSE increased by 87.43 points in three days and decreased by 10.73 points in two days. According to which NEPSE, which was at 2,611.85 points last Thursday, closed at 2,688.55 points last Thursday. NEPSE, which did not increase much in previous weeks, increased by 77 points last week.
Last week, shares worth 43.7 billion rupees were traded in the stock market. Among the total transactions during that period, the highest amount of 18 billion 53 crore rupees (42.40 percent) was of the hydropower sub-group. Banking accounts for 8.34 percent, others 9.47 percent, development banks 7.24 percent, investment 7.09 percent, life insurance 5.21 percent and microfinance sub-groups 4.45 percent.
Last week, 954 million 24 thousand 328 shares were bought and sold out of 399 thousand 40 transactions. 45.7 million 3 thousand 620 shares of the company under hydropower sub-group were bought and sold the most.
As the NEPSE index increased, the value of investors' property also increased by around one and a half billion rupees last week. During that period, the size of the stock market (total market capitalization) also increased by 1 trillion 29 billion, so the value of the investor's property also increased. The total market capitalization which was 43 trillion 44 billion rupees last Thursday has remained at 44 trillion 73 billion rupees. In terms of market capitalization, the share of banks and financial institutions and insurance companies is 52.7 percent. The share of hydropower sub-group is 15.1%, investment 7.9%, trade 5.8%, production and processing 5.4%, hotel 2.6% and other subgroups share 10.5%.
Currently, the number of companies listed in the Nepal Stock Exchange is 270. Among them, 132 are banks and financial institutions and insurance companies. 91 belong to hydropower, 22 manufacturing and processing industries, 7 hotels, 7 investment, 4 trade and 7 other sub-groups. As of March 2080, the number of companies listed in NEPSE was 272. So far, the redemption value of 8 billion 72 billion securities listed in NEPSE is 8 trillion 59 billion 45 billion rupees.
In the nine months of the current financial year, bonus shares worth 19.77 billion, ordinary shares worth 15.41 billion, right shares worth 11.25 billion, collective investment funds worth 1.25 billion, FPOs worth 10.69 billion and others worth 3.96 billion have been listed, according to NEPSE.
During this period, the Nepal Securities Board has given permission for the public issue of securities worth 28.58 billion worth of collective investment fund worth 11.6 billion, right shares worth 10.37 billion, debentures worth 4.82 billion and ordinary shares worth 1.79 billion.
