Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka conducted an on-site inspection at the Kalimati No-Light branch in Kuleshwar on Sunday evening and took information about consumer complaints and distribution arrangements. Minister Khadka inquired about the problem of power supply, consumer complaints and possible technical difficulties in various places under No-Light Branch.
Minister Khadka made it clear that the electricity currently being produced in the country is sufficient to meet the demand and said, 'Load shedding does not happen, it is not allowed to happen.' Earlier, in the meeting of the National Assembly held on March 6, Minister Khadka had said that there is load shedding in the industry and now there will be load shedding in the homes of the common man.
He requested the general public not to follow such misleading propaganda saying that some groups or individuals are spreading rumors in the market in a planned manner. 'In the past years, there were more problems than now,' he said, 'now the situation is relatively easy. Even if there is a momentary problem due to unusual weather, wind or lightning, it is quickly resolved. Now rest assured, all employees and agencies are working responsibly.'
During the on-site inspection, Minister Khadka said He also made a surprise visit to the Load Despatch Center (LDC). Through LDC, he monitored the electricity supply situation across the country, and got direct information about the status of technology and staff management .
Minister Khadka directed the employees of Nepal Electricity Authority to work in a responsible and accountable manner towards consumers. He emphasized on being aware of unconfirmed information and false propaganda in the market which creates confusion among the general public. "We have been able to buy cheap electricity and now sell it to India at a high price," he said. said He said that electricity business is being used in the interest of the nation.
The inspection team was attended by Energy Secretary Suresh Acharya, Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority Hitendra Dev Shakya and other technical officials.
