A team including Acting President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Deepak Kumar Malhotra met with Governor Vishwanath Paudel. The Chamber has suggested Governor Paudel to work with strategic plans on matters of national priority such as overall economic development of the country, inflation control, strengthening of foreign exchange reserves, expansion of financial access and financial inclusion.

Malhotra, the executive chairman of the chamber, said that Governor Paudel's role will be important to make the economic and financial system of the country viable. "We believe that the role of Rashtra Bank will be more important to keep the economy running through effective coordination of budget and monetary policy," he said.

In view of the fact that the challenge of keeping the economy running remains, Malhotra said that the economy should be cleared through coordination between the upcoming budget and monetary policy. The chamber said that it would be an important step towards long-term reform and stability in the financial sector.
