Global technology company Yango Group has launched a ride sharing service in Nepal. The company has started trial service in Kathmandu Valley in the first phase. The company said that its 'City Services App Yango' can be downloaded for free from Google Play and App Store.

Yango Ride, a mobility service, connects passengers with local transport providers and helps partner drivers find customers. Also, the company claims that the use of maps, navigation systems and smart order distribution algorithms will be beneficial to passengers and drivers.

"We are very excited to start the test phase in Kathmandu," Yango's Chief Business Officer Adeniyi Adebayo said.

The company aims to develop mobility access in Kathmandu, to be a reliable option to facilitate daily travel and to contribute to job creation.

Yango Group has been providing digital services including delivery, foodtech, entertainment in more than 30 countries including Africa, South America, Europe, Middle East, South Asia.
