Video X-rays of cattle have been done in Ward No. 1, 2 and 7 of dairy operations in Melung to reduce the loss to commercial cattle breeders by identifying the disease in time.
This is the first time that the health of the cattle has been tested by reaching the barn itself, said Hira Thokar, chairman of the municipality. He said that this campaign was conducted to solve the problems of livestock farmers using modern technology with the financial and technical support of Heifer Nepal.
"An initiative has been launched to reach the barns to solve the problems faced by the farmers who raised livestock," he said. "During the health examination of the cattle reared by farmers, it was found that the main reason for giving less milk was lack of nutrition," he said, "infertility and uterine problems were also observed in some cattle."
He said that knowledge was also given to the local animal technicians about the problem solving and treatment methods seen in cattle. He said that the Veterinarians of Agriculture and Ban University and Hefer have also taught the method that can be used to detect diseases in cattle and to solve them by hand.
