MP of CPN (Maoist Center) Madhav Sapkota has demanded to bring together all the three parties and discuss the issue of profit and loss of Electricity Authority.
Speaking at the infrastructure development committee meeting held on Wednesday, MP Sapkota said that there is a need for clarity regarding the audit conducted when Kulman Ghising was the executive director of Electricity Authority and the other audit conducted after Hitendradev Shakya became the executive director.
He demanded that current Executive Director of Electricity Authority, former Executive Director Kulman Ghising and Auditor General should be present in the committee and discussed.
According to him, it is necessary for the opposition to defend Kulman and to put an end to the actions of the ruling party to draw conclusions based on the truth. He expressed the view that if Kulman is found guilty, action should be taken according to the law.
He said, 'Yesterday, the audit system was different when he was Kulmanjee, now it seems that another audit system has been implemented . This should be clarified. The incumbent MD of the Electricity Authority, Mr. Kulmanjiu and if necessary the Auditor General should also be discussed. First of all, it is important to understand in a transparent manner. Let's stop protecting the opposition and digging holes by the ruling party. Let's hear everyone's opinion without delay and come to a conclusion . If a mistake has been made by Kulmanjiu, according to the law of Nepal, no one can be exempted.'
He also expressed the opinion that good work should be called good and that mistakes should be accepted if mistakes are made.
