The Japanese government will provide an additional grant of ¥573 million for the Dhulikhel Hospital Trauma and Emergency Center improvement project. An agreement in this regard has been signed between Nepal and Japan. After the market price increase and lack of funds, Japan gave an additional 573 million yen as a subsidy.
Previously, in October 2023, an agreement was reached with the Japanese government to grant 3 billion 296 million yen to implement this project . Along with this, the subsidy amount has reached 5 billion 38 crore 62 lakh rupees.
Finance Ministry Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyay and Japan's Ambassador to Nepal Maeda Toru have signed an agreement regarding this . The MoU was signed in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel and Japan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Akiko Ikuina. After signing the MoU, a separate meeting was held between Finance Minister Poudel and Japan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Akiko.
