The priority list of projects approved by the Board of Investment will be updated during the investment conference
The Board of Investment has extended the period of one year for the detailed project report (DPR) and survey permit for the environmental study of the 450 MW Seti River-6 semi-reservoir project.
The
board has also decided to recommend to the government of Nepal to include various topics related to the investment board in the budget statement according to the policy and program of the financial year 2082/83.
The 62nd meeting of the board held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has decided to update the project list to prioritize the projects approved by the investment board during the investment conference held in 2081. It is mentioned in the statement issued by the board that it has been decided to form a public-private partnership project prioritization committee under the coordination of Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel to prioritize the projects to be implemented through the
board and to prepare a list of projects and submit them to the board. The
meeting has also decided to instruct the office to formulate and submit the necessary procedures in accordance with the Public-Private Partnership and Investment Act, 2075 by the Government of Nepal, the provincial government and local level or subordinate public bodies to ensure consistency in the implementation of public-private partnership and private investment projects.
The meeting was also informed about the documents related to the financial management of the Upper Karnali hydropower project received at the office of the investment board.
