On Thursday evening, the consumers started asking for the schedule of load shedding on social media as the electricity was coming and going repeatedly. The Nepal Electricity Authority has stated that when there is a problem in the Indian section of the international transmission line Dhalkebar-Muzaffarpur, electricity is coming and going all over the country.
The Secretariat of the Authority's Executive Director Hitendradev Shakya said that electricity is coming not only to Kathmandu, but to Central and Eastern Nepal as well.
As work is being done to solve this problem, the secretariat has said that the problem will be solved soon. "The 400 KV Dhalkebar-Muzaffarpur line, which is currently importing electricity from India to Nepal, has been coming and going due to the problem on the India side, the work is going on," the Secretariat said, "the problem will be solved soon, it is not only a problem in one place but also in central and eastern Nepal including Kathmandu." He said that it will take some time as work is being done to supply electricity from both the east and west sides of Nepal. "Even if the electricity is interrupted once, it may take some time to be informed everywhere at the same time."
