The NEPSE index fell by 12.53 points on Sunday, the first day of weekly trading. After decreasing by 0.47 percent compared to the previous day, the overall NEPSE has dropped to 2,649.11 points. NEPSE, which closed down last Thursday, followed the same trend on Sunday as well.
Out of those that came into trading on Sunday, the share price of 82 companies increased while 164 decreased. On Sunday, 204 million 11 thousand 14 shares were bought and sold in 88 thousand 955 shares. A transaction worth 10 billion 20 million 27 million rupees has been made in those purchases. Compared to last Thursday, the turnover on Sunday has decreased. Shares worth 11.65 billion rupees were traded last Thursday. Out of the total 13 sub-groups that came into
business, the index of development bank, hotel and tourism, life insurance, non-life insurance and business increased. According to which the index of hotel and tourism sub-group increased by 400.81, development bank by 59.38, life insurance by 15.07 and trade by 16.30 points. However, indices of banking, finance companies, hydropower, investment, manufacturing and processing, microfinance, collective investment fund, non-life insurance and other sub-groups declined. According to NEPSE, the index of finance company sub-group decreased by 86.23, hydropower by 48.93 and production and processing by 33 points.
When the prices of Nepal Micro Insurance Company and Crest Micro Life Insurance increased by 10 percent, they had to control the transactions through circuit breakers. Shares of Himalayan Hydropower rose by 9.99 per cent, Joshi Hydropower Development Company by 9.99 per cent and Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals by 9.98 per cent on the day. However, the share price of Sindhu Development Bank decreased by 7.30, Synergy Power Development by 4.93, Greenlife Hydropower by 4.52, Guhyeshwari Merchant Bank and Finance by 4.33 and Saptakoshi Development Bank by 4.13 percent, according to NEPSE.
On Sunday, Radhi Electricity Company, Ngadi Group Power, Universal Power Company, Sanima My Hydropower and Butwal Power Company were on the front line based on the turnover. According to NEPSE data, shares of Radhi Electricity Company 661 million 70 thousand, Ngadi Group Power 60 million 68 million 68 thousand, Universal Power Company 54 million 67 million 95 thousand, Sanima Mai Hydropower 53 million 33 million 68 thousand and Butwal Power Company 32 million 57 million 29 thousand were traded on that day.
