If you are traveling through Nagadhunga-Naubise road, the journey may be bumpy for a few days. The Nagadhunga-Muglin Road Plan, Eastern Section has issued a notice saying that the demolition of the 1.8 km road from Nagadhunga to Piplamod may cause traffic problems. It has been mentioned in the notice that traffic has been stopped from 11 pm to 3 am till Baisakh 31.

Keshav Prasad Ojha, Head of Eastern Section of Nagadhunga-Muglin Road Scheme, said that if you have to travel in between, you are asked to use an alternative road. He said that since Monday night, the tarpaulin has been started from Piplamod towards Nagadhunga. He said, "We will remove black sheet till 31st of Baisakh for road improvement," he said.

12.26 km of Nagadhunga-Naubise section falls under the first package. A contract has been signed with Jangsu-Sagun JV for 1 billion 30 million rupees to build this package on Chait 29, 2078. The work started only on May 26, 2079 after about a year and a half of the agreement. After the work could not be completed by 27 June 2081, the deadline was extended until January 2081, but the work could not be completed as per the target.

has been extended again to July 10, 2082, progress has reached 75 percent. In this section, 8 kilometers from Khatripauwa to Naubise, the first level has been paved both ways. "Also, the work of constructing the second layer of black sheeting on both sides of three kilometers has been completed," he said, "We are demolishing the black sheeting that is currently being done from near the mouth of the Nagdhunga tunnel to Piplamod and laying the base with gravel." Ojha said that the work is continuing even though the water has caused problems for a few days. "We will cover the 3.8 km from Piplamod to the mouth of the tunnel, Nagadhunga Tunnel Project Office will work on the distance of 600 meters from Piplamod to Khatripauwa," he said.

Ojha claims that all the black paper work will be completed in the first package by July. "After that, only minor work remains," he said. Handicap-friendly Akase Bridge will be constructed for pedestrians at Khanikhola. "Since the house in the said place has to be demolished, the demolition was started only two weeks ago after a decision was made about the compensation," Ojha said, "We will build a wheelchair-friendly bridge that can be moved up and down."

belongs to the second package, Naubise-Malekhu segment. Its distance is 43.54 km. 5 billion 33 million 19 million JICG-Sharma-Lama JV has taken its contract. The work of this section, which was signed on May 14, 2079, should be completed by the end of June 2082. So far the physical progress is only 38 percent. The planning office said that 10 km of the first level road has been paved in both directions. In this section, there is a problem to increase the progress of the work because the electric poles cannot be moved.

"It has been decided to compensate the 28 houses that were missed first, the work of moving the electricity poles is also going on," said Ojha. 4.7 km from Nagadhunga to Naubise and 17.5 km from Naubise to Malekhu will be a separate climbing lane. "The road will be expanded from four to six lanes in the market area, in most places it will be a two-lane road," he said.

belongs to the third package, the Malekhu–Muglin section. The progress of this section of 38.86 km is 29 percent. Sharma-JICG has taken the contract for upgrading this section for 4 billion 805 million rupees. According to the agreement signed on December 15, 2079, the work should be completed by December 2082. The 4.5 km four-lane road has been paved in both directions from the beautiful hill of this road section to the front of Ichchakamana rural municipality office.

200 meters in Chumlingtar and 1.5 hundred meters of four-lane road in Fisling Bazar were blacked, said Kedar Prasad Nepal, head of Nagadhunga-Muglin road project, western section. Last October, 100 meters of road was washed away in Krishnabhir. Trishuli river is cutting from below. He said that now they are going to do the work of 'micro piling'. "Now the work will not be done in the river, the work of the 'anchor' will be done above the road," he said, "It will start in a few days."

Keshav Kumar Sharma, Secretary of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, said that the work will be done from the river bank down from Krishnabhir. "We will make it work so that there will be no problems in the future," he said. If there is a contract, there is a problem in doing the black paper work due to rain, said the head of planning Nepal. "In this section, the survey design was damaged and the work was started only seven months after the contract, which was delayed due to our own reasons," he said.

The 6-lane road of 2.2 km will be constructed in the third section, which will cover the Malekhu, Benighat and Muglin sections. The four-lane road will be 7.2 km long. It will cover Fun Danda, Kurintar, Fisling, Chumling, Mazhimtar, Charaundi and Vishaltar. A 3-lane climbing lane will also be constructed on the uphill-downhill section, which will be 2.3 km long. The Nagadhunga-Mugling Road Planning Office has informed that the rest of the road will be a dedicated two-lane road.
