Communications and Information Technology Minister Prithvisubba Gurung has said that the system of printing all security materials except bank notes has started in Nepal.

Addressing a special program organized on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of Gorkhapatra Dainik on Wednesday, he said that arrangements have been made for a press capable of producing all printed materials except notes. According to him, preparations are being made for the operation of the press by manpower and financial management. He said that there is no need to go abroad to print any security materials including passports.

He said, 'A printing press that can produce and print everything except bank notes has been arranged. We are doing that by managing in terms of manpower, financial management. From now on, there is no need to go abroad to print such things. That work has already been started by the ministry.

Minister Gurung has said that he has started the process of replacing the old Act of the Film Development Board and creating a new one. He said that since the new act of the board has been registered, it will be passed and put into operation soon. He also said that the construction of a building owned by the Film Development Board is also underway. He said that the film sector will be developed as an industry and made an important sector of revenue generation.

He said, 'We are fixing the ministry in many ways within this year. There was an old Act of Film Development Board, we have registered it, it will be passed. The building work starts from this year. It has its own studio building. With that, we have removed many distortions in the field of film development. And we have reached a place where we can generate huge revenue, and our ministry has moved forward in terms of developing the industry. He was in a coma, almost dead. It was kept in the ventilator, we have taken it out and now we have made it a place to work.'
