The insurance authority has instructed to work responsibly so as to increase trustworthiness towards insurance. Chairman Sarad Ojha instructed the insurance companies to work responsibly in the interaction program held with the heads of the provincial offices of the insurance companies in Birganj organized by the Madhesh State Office of the Authority.
Chairman Ojha said that if the risk assessment of insurance companies is correct, there will be no problem in payment of claims. He instructed to do the risk assessment correctly and to work in accordance with the insurance laws and regulations so that no problem occurs in the market.
He also requested to inform the authority if there is any problem or complaint related to insurance at provincial and local level. In the program, it was said that the heads of the provincial offices of the insurance companies did not have enough authority in the provincial offices and the manpower was also low.
Therefore, the authority has said that it is difficult to get recommendations for agricultural insurance and to inspect the damage, there are manipulations in cashback, there is unhealthy competition, there is no increase in public awareness about insurance and to simplify the claim process.
