The construction of the Gandaki Provincial Assembly building, which has been a priority in the policy and program and budget every year, has finally progressed after 7 years. A new building with an area of ​​7 ropani is going to be built behind the existing building at Pokhara-3 Nadipur by spending 25 million rupees.

Urban Development and Building Office Kaski Chief CDE Omraj Dhungana said that out of the 110 plantations owned by the state government, new buildings will be built in 7 plantations. 

office has signed a construction contract with Shrestha & Sons-East West JV, Naya Baneshwar Kathmandu on January 18 for 2537 million 82 thousand 860 rupees including VAT. Chief Dhungana said that an agreement has been made with the builders to complete the construction work within 36 months (3 years).  According to the

agreement, the parliament building should be completed by 18th January 2084. The company entrusted with the construction has started cleaning the construction site since last week. He said that the builders have taken the mobilization amount of 22.21 lakh 90 thousand rupees. After demolishing a tower in the construction site, the foundation stone of the building is ready to be laid. Under Urban Development and Building Office Kaski, the government allocated a budget of Rs 9 crore for the construction of the State Assembly building in the current financial year.

5 parliamentary party meeting rooms and 5 VIP offices will be built on the ground floor of the three-story building. The offices of the Chief Minister, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Leader of the Opposition and the Parliament Secretariat Secretary will be on the ground floor. Parliament meeting room will be on the first floor. There will be a chamber to accommodate 78 people. Also, the pigeon hole, general and VIP rooms, marshal's office, meeting room of the work arrangement advisory committee, library, video conference and TV studio will be on the same floor. The second floor will have an auditorium with a capacity of 80 people, a multi-purpose meeting room, a store and a bardli. It has not been decided what will be placed on the third floor. The building will also have two elevators. Chamenagriha, parking will be built outside the building. 

The building that currently houses the Provincial Assembly was built by the Local and Urban Development Training Center in 2049. This multi-purpose hall was built by the then government of His Majesty and the German Technical Corporation (GTZ) of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. On October 1, 2049, the then Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala inaugurated the hall. As the hall is narrow, MPs have to be "coach". In the second term, the Provincial Assembly Secretariat has reduced the seats for spectators and journalists and widened the seats for MPs, which has made it easier to some extent.
