The NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, fell by 9.96 points on Tuesday. Compared to the previous day, the overall NEPSE decreased by 0.36 percent to 2,688.32 points. NEPSE, which decreased on Sunday and Monday, followed the same trend on Tuesday as well.

Investors do not want to invest more due to the political ups and downs of the past few weeks, the tug-of-war between the ruling party Congress and the UML over the appointment of the governor, the two-week-old teachers' movement centered on Kathmandu and the discomfort in transportation created by it.

The financial statements of banks in the third quarter are also not satisfactory. Profits of many banks have declined, affecting distributable profits. Due to the increase in bad loans of banks and financial institutions, many banks have also increased the provisions for bad loans. Although there is a problem in loan recovery, the net interest income of banks and financial institutions has also decreased. 

Experts say that the stock market is not growing due to the negative impact of the mentioned incident on the market which is also not growing. Among those that came into trading that day, 86 companies' share prices increased, 160 companies decreased and one company remained stable. 

225 million 55 thousand 713 shares were bought and sold in 71 thousand 694 share transactions. Shares worth 8 billion 32 million rupees have been traded in those purchases. Even though the NEPSE index decreased compared to the previous day, the transaction amount also decreased. Shares worth 8 billion 77 crore 57 lakh rupees were traded on Monday. 

Among the 13 sub-groups that came into business that day, the indices of hotels and tourism, manufacturing and processing and others increased. However, the overall NEPSE decreased by almost double digits after the index of all other sub-groups decreased.
