Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Devendra Dahal has instructed the departments and project heads under the ministry not to delay in solving the problems of sick projects.
He also emphasized on analyzing and implementing solutions for projects that are in ailing and stalled condition.
The secretary of the ministry, the director general of the road department, joint secretaries, the head of the federal road supervision and monitoring office and the head of various projects participated in the discussion at the ministry on Monday.
'There was no delay in the work from the identification of the patient project to the solution of the problem,' Minister Dahal said in the discussion, 'please keep it as a priority and proceed with the work.' He also instructed the office heads and project heads to bring the results visible in the work area, saying that the work is not done at the specified time, slowness and frequent extensions are delaying the development construction process.
'Don't wait for what laws, rules or regulations will come,' Minister Dahal said, 'Proceed according to the existing legal system, now is not the time to delay .'
Keshav Kumar Sharma, the secretary of the ministry said that the sick project has been carefully studied and the ministry is focused on project-wise solutions. Similarly, Ramhari Pokharel, Director General of the Roads Department, said that each office has proceeded with the work to solve the problems related to the sick project according to the legal provisions.
