Even in the first week of the new year, the attraction of investors has been seen in the shares of the hydropower company. A total of 33 billion 887 million 39 thousand rupees was traded during the opening of four stock markets last week. According to NEPSE, about 33 percent of the total transactions during that period were occupied by companies under the hydropower sub-group.

The share of other sub-groups is 15.89 percent and investment sub-group is 13.65 percent of the total transactions during that period. Similarly, NEPSE said that life insurance sub-group has 7 percent, commercial bank sub-group 6 and development bank sub-group 7 percent. 

Last week on Thursday, the highest turnover was 10 billion 79 crore 73 lakh rupees. In the four trading days of that week, a total of 33 billion 887 million 39 thousand rupees was traded. In that week, a total of 33 billion 88 billion 71 lakh 39 thousand rupees was traded. Last week, the highest turnover was on Thursday of 10 billion 79 crore 73 lakh rupees. 

On the first trading day of the week, shares worth 6.28 billion 296 thousand rupees were traded on Sunday. Due to the New Year, Monday was a public holiday so there was no trading. Last Tuesday, 8 billion 54 crore 43 lakh rupees and on Wednesday 7 billion 26 crore 51 lakh rupees were traded.

According to NEPSE, 7 crore 54 lakh 15 thousand 638 shares were bought and sold out of 278 thousand 640 times of buying and selling last week. NEPSE increased by 52.03 points last week. The previous Thursday was closed at 2,670.70 points. Last Thursday, it closed at 2,772.73 points. This shows that the NEPSE index increased by 52.03 points that week. According to this, the NEPSE decreased by 8.62 points only on Sunday, the first trading day last week. NEPSE increased by 27.14 on Tuesday, 7.01 on Wednesday and 26.49 on Thursday.

Last week, investors were also attracted to companies under the sub-index, including non-life insurance, development bank, hotel and tourism. During the week, non-life insurance increased by 331.61 points, development bank by 228.92 points, hotel and tourism by 152.53 points. Last Thursday, the hotel and tourism sub-group index closed at 6477.63 points and rose to 6,590.39 points last Thursday. 

Last week, the index of life insurance sub-group increased by 144.83, hydropower 131.89, microfinance 44.11 points, finance 18.97 and production and processing 18.32 points, according to NEPSE. In that week, the index of banking sub-group increased by 24.72, investment by 7.87 and mutual fund by 0.23 points. 

During that period, the index of business and other sub-groups decreased. According to NEPSE, last week the index of business sub-group decreased by 97.01 and other sub-group by 21.93 points.
