Urea mall of Salt Trading Corporation Limited has arrived at Birgunj Naka. A railway rack carrying 2,500 tons of urea from Kolkata port arrived at Raxaul railway station in the Indian border town of Birganj on Sunday morning.

Salt Trading is about to import 30,000 tons of urea fertilizer from the global tender, and the first rack of the consignment has arrived.  salt Trading Head of Birgunj Regional Office, Amoz Lamichhane, said that another railway rack carrying 2,500 tons of urea is in the Indian Railways. The train will also arrive within a couple of days.

supplier Sun International brought the fertilizer from China. Out of the total 30,000 tons, Birganj Provincial Office will get 10,500 tons, Bhairahawa Provincial Office will get 9,500 tons and Biratnar Provincial Office will get 8,500 tons of manure. 

Birgunj's cargo will arrive at Raxaul and Sirsia dry ports. Some malls from Bhairahawa and Biratnagar will reach directly from Kolkata port through the Indian border near those offices. Some of the fertilizers will come from Birganj. It will be transported from Birganj to Bhairahawa and Biratnagar. 

Lamichhane said that the urea fertilizer that is about to be introduced will be useful for the Chaite rice crop. He said that as there is currently a demand for urea fertilizer for Chaite rice, it will be sent to the districts where the demand is received as soon as the quota is received.
