On the last day of weekly trading, the NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, closed at 2,722 points on Thursday. NEPSE, which closed close to 2,700 on Wednesday, increased by 26.49 points on Thursday and the overall NEPSE rose to 2,722.73 points. This is the highest in the last seven trading days.

Compared to Wednesday, NEPSE increased by 0.98 percent. NEPSE has been steadily rising since the last three trading days. NEPSE increased by 27.14 points on Tuesday and 7.01 points on Wednesday. Out of the total of 187 companies that came into trading on that day, the share price increased while the share price of 59 companies decreased. In total 90 thousand 555 transactions, 2 crore 37 lakh 73 thousand 731 shares were bought and sold. According to NEPSE, shares worth 10 billion 79 crore 73 lakh rupees were traded from that transaction.

Thursday's turnover is the highest in the last 25 days. Last February 25, shares worth 10.9 billion rupees were traded. Since then, more than 10 billion rupees had not been transacted. The highest share transaction was last Tuesday worth 8.54 billion 43 lakh rupees.

Out of the total 13 subgroups, only the business subgroup decreased by 6.95 points. All remaining subgroups had significant increases in their indices. The biggest non-life insurance has increased by 120.40, life insurance by 112.07, development bank by 76.16 and microfinance by 30.77 points. 

Nepal Micro Insurance Company's share price has increased by 10 percent and closed due to circuit breaker. Similarly, Crest Micro Life Insurance's share price increased by 9.99%, Hydro Electricity Investment and Development Company's 6.82%, Super Maadi Hydropower's 6.67%, and Corporate Development Bank's share price increased by 5.84%. 

NIC Asia Debenture 085/086 at 4.79, Bottlers Nepal Balaju at 4.46, SBI Debenture 2083 at 3.47, Balefi Hydropower at 3.23, Gurans Microfinance Investors at 3.20 percent. 

Himalayan Power Partners had the highest turnover by transaction volume. On Thursday alone, the turnover of Himalayan Power Partner was 1 billion 58 crore 25 lakh 11 thousand rupees. Last Tuesday, only shares of Balefi Hydropower were traded worth 2 billion 129 lakh 93 thousand rupees. Similarly, shares of NRN Infrastructure and Development were traded worth 624.6 million, Hydro Electricity Investment and Development 496.1 million, Ngadi Group Power 381.5 million and Radhi Electricity Company 378.88 million, according to NEPSE.
