The recent trade war between the US and China has become widespread on social media platforms, especially TikTok. Chinese suppliers are constantly uploading videos of their products to TikTok asking American users to order goods directly from Chinese factories.

Chinese traders have appealed to buy 'branded' goods directly from them at cheaper prices to evade the high customs duties (tariffs) announced by US President Donald Trump.

This trend is called 'Chinese Warehouse Tiktok'. International media have reported that China has adopted such a strategic digital campaign to influence the American market. In the videos, Chinese businessmen claim to be local factory workers of Western brands and offer to deliver the products of those brands directly to consumers at low prices.

Most of the videos promote various products of famous international brands like Lululemon, Louis Vuitton, Chanel. Chinese TikTok users have urged American customers to buy those products from Chinese factories. "Why don't you contact us directly?" a businessman said in a TikTok video.

After US President Donald Trump's decision to impose a 145 percent tariff on Chinese imports, such videos are being posted especially on Tiktok. In response to Trump's tariffs, China has also announced 125 percent tariffs on American goods. Meanwhile, through social media, Chinese suppliers are encouraging American consumers to buy directly from them, avoiding middlemen and high customs duties.

According to the American media CNN, the app of the Chinese wholesale store called DHgate has now reached the second place in the American app store, while another Chinese e-commerce platform, Taobao, is also seen in the seventh place.

According to Newsweek, in a TikTok video, a user named Ding 53631 claims to give a bag that looks like the Louis Vuitton brand for $4. Lululemon products are also featured in TikTok videos. Another user said, 'I'll tell you a secret, Louis Vuitton has many Chinese suppliers, but the company won't admit it publicly.' He has also warned that the goods may be fake. As Louis Vuitton also told "The Independent" media, the company has no factory in China.

Earlier, US importers were given tax exemptions for imports worth less than 800 dollars. Although this has made it easier for small importers and sellers of goods through Tiktok, this discount is ending on May 2. Meanwhile, it is being analyzed that China has started to play an aggressive role in the trade war with the US instead of a defensive one.

China has announced that it will stop the export of rare minerals and the supply of aircraft of the American airline company Boeing to China.

Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is currently on a tour of Southeast Asia, is presenting China as the most reliable partner in the world and accusing the US of 'bullying'.

According to the Indian media Firstpost, the fight between China and the US is not limited to tariffs and has spread to the Internet, markets and thinking. "This kind of international confrontation has never been seen before," says Firstpost.
