Share price of 212 companies increased, 34 decreased, 2.5 million shares were bought and sold in 69 thousand transactions.
On the first trading day of the new year, the NEPSE index rose by 27.14 points. Compared to the previous day, the overall NEPSE has increased by one point zero one percent and has risen to 2,689.22 points.
Out of the total of 212 companies that came into trading on that day, their share prices increased while 34 companies decreased. A total of 2 crore 18 lakh 41 thousand 47 shares were bought and sold in a total of 69 thousand 364 transactions. According to NEPSE, there was a share transaction worth 8 billion 54 crore 43 lakh 57 thousand rupees.
Most of the sub-groups rose in Monday's trading. Investors' attraction on the day was seen in shares of Bikas Bank, Nirjeev Bima and Hotels and Tourism sub-group. According to people, the index of development bank sub-group increased by 133.25, non-life insurance 132.02, hotel and tourism 128.44, life insurance 107.18, manufacturing and processing 85.60 points. However, the index of business sub-group decreased by 29.70 and collective investment fund by 0.001 points.
Corporate Development Bank, Green Development Bank and Saptakoshi Bikas Bank's share price closed with 10 percent increase on that day. The price of Nepal Micro Insurance Company increased by 9.99 percent and the price of Crest Micro Life Insurance Company increased by 9.98 percent. However, the share price of Balefi Hydropower decreased by 9.99%, Win Nepal Microfinance by 6.25%, NIBL Stable Fund by 3.37%, Atmanirbhar Microfinance by 3.71% and Upper Solu Hydro by 3.28%.
In terms of turnover, Balefi Hydropower was ahead. Only 2 billion 129 lakh 93 thousand rupees of shares of Balefi Hydropower have been traded. According to NEPSE data, shares of NRN Infrastructure and Development were traded at 422.2339 thousand, Radhi Electricity Company at 3622.8000, CEDB Holdings at 327.771000 and Himalayan Reinsurance at 312.2888000.
