To promote Nepal's domestic tourism, Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents is going to organize the third edition of Budhist International Travel Mart from May 10 to 12, 2082 in Kathmandu and Lumbini.
According to Mart coordinator Jishwa Tuladhar Shrestha, 150 Buyers interested in more international Buddhist tourism and more than 60 national and international sellers will participate. Participating countries include India, China, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and other major Buddhist countries. More than 1,000 visitors are expected to attend this mart. In which there will be representatives of national and international tourism professionals, Buddhist pilgrims, national and international partners and media. According to Natta, it is mandatory to register before May 28 for
participation. The official website of the program has also been made public. The website contains detailed program information, schedule, participants' profiles and exhibition venue details. Speaking at a program organized to inform about the mart, Tourism Board CEO Deepak Raj Joshi said that Nepal has a rich potential for Buddhist heritage, which will have an emotional connection with millions of people around the world.
He said that he believes that this program will give Nepal a prominent position in the field of international Buddhist pilgrimage tourism. . President of Natta Kumarmani Thapalia said Mart said that there is an opportunity to introduce Nepal not only as the birthplace of Buddha, but as a country with deep cultural, historical and spiritual significance of Buddhism. He said that this fair is also a campaign to strengthen cooperation between the private sector and government agencies.
