Nepal Rastra Bank has introduced additional 1 million new notes of five rupees from Baisakh 2 (today). It is said that the notes of 45 000001 to 18 999999 in the same size and color as before will be put into circulation.
On the front of the note, there is a picture of Everest on the left and a water print of Laliguras on the right. The signature of outgoing Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari is written on the lower edge of the note, 2081.
Similarly, Nepal Rastra Bank is written in English on the upper part of the back of the note, wild yak and Himal of Humla's Limi area in the middle and rupee five and the date are written in English on the edge of the lower part.
