Salt Trading Corporation Limited has arrived at the port of Kolkata to import Urea fertilizer through global tender. According to Sanjay Kumar Gupta, Information Officer of the Corporation Regional Office Birgunj, the ship carrying 25 thousand tons of urea fertilizer of this consignment, which is the supplier of Sun International Company, arrived at Kolkata port on Saturday.

"According to the information received from the supplier company, a ship carrying urea fertilizer from China has arrived at Kolkata port on Saturday," he said, "Now after packing the fertilizer in sacks at the Kolkata port, the fertilizer will be mobilized to Nepal from there."

Gupta also said that it will take about a week and a half to arrive in Nepal after packing the goods in Kolkata. "Normally, it takes one to one and a half weeks for manure to arrive in Nepal after arriving in Kolkata," he said, "Birganj, Biratnagar and Bhairahawa regional offices will get manure out of 25,000 tons." Bhairahawa and Biratnagar manure will go to the Indian border.

Gupta said that the urea fertilizer that is about to be introduced will be useful for the Chaite paddy crop. He claimed that since it is currently the season of Chaite rice crop and there is a demand for urea fertilizer for this crop, the fertilizer that is coming in will meet the demand to a large extent.
