Even today they shouted slogans at the mouth of the tunnel. At the same time, police spokesperson DIG Dinesh Kumar Acharya said that Thankot police arrested 6 people who obstructed the project site.

The locals have been putting forward the demand that the ongoing programs or projects should be carried out through the project or should be carried out through the road department.

Work was underway to bring the tunnel into operation by October 2082. But in the meantime, the problem has been caused by the locals obstructing the work. Currently, lighting, ventilation, construction of concrete road inside the tunnel are in the final stage.
