The industry association Morang has submitted to Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel the suggestion that the Ministry of Finance has prepared a budget for the next fiscal year, covering various topics in the industry and business sector.

Rakesh Surana, President of Industry Organization Morang, Anupam Rathi, President of Morang Industry and Trade Association and Vijay Shrestha, President of Sunsari Industry and Commerce Association, requested the Finance Minister on Wednesday to take the problems faced by the industry and business sector seriously and address the suggestions presented in the upcoming budget.   During the

discussion, Rakesh Surana, president of Morang, requested to expand investment in infrastructure like transmission lines and to focus all investment on reservoir projects as the industrial business sector is still experiencing load shedding of 6 to 8 hours. In order to create an environment of trust, Surana stressed that the state should pay the amount of concessions, export subsidies, etc., to be paid to industrialists without delay, in addition to maintaining policy stability, regulating open borders, and bringing clear laws for the regulation and management of credit transactions. 

Informing that the logistics cost is more than 30 percent of the total business cost, Chairman Surana  He requested to revise the price of handling charges of Biratnagar cargo train which is a game changer of Koshi province and bring it into operation . During the

discussion, President Surana stated that currently the difference in customs rates between raw materials and finished goods in some industries is three levels, while in others it is only one level, and requested to maintain the same rate for all types of industries.  Morang Sangh President Rathi has requested the finance minister to create the next budget to address the current economic slowdown and disappointment.
