Nepali citizens living abroad can open an account online in banks and financial institutions of Nepal by taking the national identity card or other necessary documents other than the national identity card number. The provision is in the circular issued by the National Bank on Wednesday

Regarding the account opened in this way, it is mentioned in the circular that within 35 days of the account holder's return to Nepal, the relevant licensed organization should take the details of the national identity card and update it.

There is a provision in the directive that disabled, helpless citizens who cannot take care of themselves can open a bank account and do business by attaching other necessary documents other than national identity card or national identity card number.
