The action plan designed to escape from the 'grey list' is being implemented soon

The action plan containing the list of work to be done to get Nepal out of the 'grey list' will be finalized and implemented soon. The Ministry of Finance said that in the meeting held on Tuesday of the Money Laundering Prevention Steering Committee, it was decided to finalize and implement the action plan to bring Nepal out of the gray list.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel said that while working according to the action plan to get Nepal out of the gray list, it is necessary to work in a long-term way so that Nepal does not fall into the gray list in the future.

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ajay Kumar Chaurasia said that there is no lack of law to remove Nepal from the gray list. He expressed the opinion that Nepal can be taken out of the gray list if we work with will power. Attorney General Ramesh Badal said that it is necessary to have institutional governance in all agencies.

Chief Secretary Eknarayan Aryal said that it is necessary to coordinate and work with priority among all agencies. He said that Nepal can come out of the gray list by emphasizing technology and working according to the action plan.

Permanent Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Neelam Dhungana Timsina said that it is necessary to work according to the action plan from the beginning rather than working at the last moment. The participants in the

meeting said that it is necessary to work in the areas of risk assessment, inter-agency coordination, regulation and supervision, investigation and prosecution, criminal assets, etc.

Nepal was included in the gray list of the Financial Action Tax Force (FATF) on February 9.
