The fourth national conference of accountants is going to start from Tuesday. The organization Nepal Chartered Accountants Association (ICAN) has informed that the conference of accountants is going to be organized under the slogan of 'Transformation of the economy through modernization of taxation and public financial management'.
According to the organizers, there will be interaction between accountants, policy makers, academics, industrialists and students on modernization of tax system and public financial management throughout the program.
A total of 7 sessions including five technical sessions and two supplementary sessions are being conducted in the two-day conference. For the modernization of the tax system and public financial management, appropriate policy formulation through in-depth discussions, transparency According to ICAN, the conference is going to be held for the purpose of promoting accountability. The organizers claim that the
conference will help contribute to the advancement of the accounting profession and economic development. 35 speakers will participate in 7 sessions. 4 people will give a presentation. The organizers said that five international representatives will also be present. It is estimated that around 1000 national and international participants will participate in the conference.
President of iCAN Pravin Kumar Jha and Minister of Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel will address the opening program on Tuesday. It is said that National Planning Commission Vice Chairman Shivraj Adhikari, Deputy Auditor General Vamdev Sharma Adhikari and South Asian Accounting Federation President Ashafak Yusuf Tola will also be present in the program.
