Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Council of Thailand have signed a cooperation agreement in the field of trade, tourism and civil aviation. In the presence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Prime Minister of Thailand Pe Thong Than Shinawatra, Chamber President Kamlesh Kumar Agarwal and Tourism Council of Thailand President Chai Arunanondichai signed the memorandum of understanding on Wednesday.

It is mentioned in the statement issued by the chamber that there is an agreement between the two countries to promote tourism, civil aviation and collaborate for cultural promotion in various areas of Nepal.

An agreement has been reached to jointly identify and promote the tourist areas of Nepal and Thailand for market promotion campaign, joint cooperation in the field of civil aviation, exchange of heritage and culture, trade and investment promotion and capacity building.

It is mentioned in the statement issued by the chamber that there was also an agreement on the formation of a joint working group for this. Chairman Agarwal informed that the agreement is important to increase tourism activities in Nepal's Pokhara and Bhaurhawa International Airports.
