The price of gold in the international and local markets has set new records day by day. The price of gold has reached a high point due to US President Donald Trump's tax policy and international geopolitical reasons.

The price of gold per ounce in the international market was 3 thousand 108 dollars when the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders Federation fixed the price on Monday. This price is high. Along with the international market, the highest price has been maintained in the Nepali market as well.

The Federation has fixed Rs 1 lakh 77 thousand 900 per tola for Monday. This price is 1 thousand 100 rupees more per tola compared to Sunday. On Sunday, it was fixed at Rs 1 lakh 76 thousand 800 per tola. In the international market, gold traded at $3,850 per ounce on Sunday. Compared to Sunday and Monday, the price of gold increased by 23 dollars per ounce. Even though the federation set a price of 1 lakh 77 thousand 900 rupees per tola on Monday, common people cannot buy jewelery at the same price.

Jewellers, while selling to consumers, add wages, profit, etc. Profits and wages are taken according to the design of the shop and jewelry. Businessmen sell with 12 to 18 percent on the price set by the federation. According to Monday's price of an average of 12 percent, consumers pay an additional Rs 21,348 per tola of jewellery. That is, to buy one tola of jewelry, the consumer has to pay 1 lakh 99 thousand 248 rupees.

The federation will determine the price based on the international market. Now a new record has been set in the international market. A record has been set in the domestic market along with the international market," said jeweler Tejaratna Shakya, "The main reason for the ups and downs in the international market is the US President Donald Trump's tax policy and international geopolitics." The market price is determined by international market price, dollar exchange rate, 10 percent customs rate and 1 percent profit (50 percent to the bank and 50 percent to the businessman). It is predicted that the international market will reach 3 thousand 500 dollars per ounce.

The price of gold per ounce was $3,080 on Chait 11 in the international market. In the domestic market, per tola was fixed at Rs 1 lakh 73 thousand 500. On March 12, per ounce decreased by 3 dollars to 3 thousand 15 dollars in the international market. In the domestic market, per tola was fixed at 1 lakh 73 thousand 300 rupees. After that, the price started to increase and is continuously increasing. Now the international market has reached 3 thousand 112.13 dollars per ounce.

Due to the rift between American President Trump and Russia, investors are attracted to gold, according to the vice-president of the Federation, Dharmasundar Bajracharya. Although it is said that there will be a cease-fire and peace talks between Ukraine and Russia, the chances of these countries meeting are decreasing. If Trump wants to negotiate with Iran, Iran has not agreed," Vice President Bajracharya said, "The price of gold seems to have increased due to the fact that Europe may escalate the war between Russia and Ukraine and the general public has been alerted. The price is likely to increase further.'

Tensions continue in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip. Experts say that the price is increasing in the international market due to the search for safe investment. Apart from this, the dollar has weakened. The Indian rupee has strengthened somewhat. Gold and the dollar have an inverse relationship. As the dollar strengthens, the price of gold falls. When the dollar weakens, prices go up.

Businessmen say that the jewelry market is slowing down after the prices started to rise. Shakya said that he came to sell rather than buy. Old jewelery has started to come on sale in the market. Common people are attracted to selling rather than buying," said Shakya.
