The Nepal Insurance Authority has instructed to quickly settle the insurance claims due to the damage to the property of the insured due to the riots in various places in Kathmandu Valley.
Sushiledev Subedi, executive director of the authority, said that all non-life insurance companies and non-life insurance companies have been instructed to submit the details of the damage caused by the riots on Chait 15 in Kathmandu Valley to the authority weekly on Wednesday of every week in the format of 'Excel spread sheet'.
It has been reported that damages worth crores of rupees have been caused by vandalism and arson in Tinkune, Koteshwar and other areas last Friday. Although the exact details could not be obtained, the source said that Inspector General of Police Deepak Thapa briefed the Home Minister Ramesh Ukkar about the loss of crores of rupees during the Central Security Committee meeting.

The authority has said that since the collection of data on the insurance claims due to the damage caused by the riots has started, it will be published weekly from next Wednesday.
