The project of Western Automobile Dealers Association (WADA) has started from Thursday in Pokhara, 'First Wada Auto Show 2025'. NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal has started an auto show for the first time in Amarsinghchaur, Pokhara in Gandaki province.
The comprehensive auto exhibition, which runs till March 17, has 20 stalls of 19 brands of 4-wheelers, 6 brands of light commercial, 7 brands of 2-wheelers including lubricants, tires, garage equipment, auto component companies and financial institutions. There is a majority of electric vehicles (EV) in the exhibition.
BYD, Expeng, Kai, Deepal, Hyundai, Tata, MG, Skywell, Ridara, Ceres, Omoda, Zeko, Citron, Zikar, Nami, Kia, Lipmotor have stalled for electric four-wheelers. Toyota, Suzuki, Kia, Isuzu, Nishan, Mahindra and other vehicles have been put on display. Along with EVs, Hyundai, Tata, Kia have also marketed ice cars. Brands like Ather, TVS, Yamaha, Bajaj, Triumph, Royal Enfield and others are believed to attract the audience for two-wheelers. Light commercial vehicle stalls including
Kama, New Go Now, Skyworth, Haiger and Dongfeng are also present at Auto So. Spot exchange and financing facilities are also available for customers who want to buy a vehicle.
Pokhara Metropolitan Chief Dhanraj Acharya inaugurated the auto show. He said that the performance will play an important role in attracting domestic tourists when Pokhara has been announced as the year 2025. Central President of NADA Karan Chaudhary said that the automobile sector had to go through a difficult situation when the government's policy was unstable. Dhruv Thapa, former president of NADA, accepted the big challenge and said that Wada Auto Show was organized for the first time in Pokhara. "After Kathmandu, Pokhara is the place where there are many automobile-related transactions," he said, "This auto show, which is the first outside of Kathmandu, may prove to be a milestone for this region." He said that the auto show was organized because the interest of vehicle owners, potential customers and the general public is increasing towards the purchase and sale of vehicles and the development of modern technology in this area.
"Latest vehicle models, modern technology and other service providers in this area have been exhibited in one place, dealers, manufacturers, sellers and customers from the local and country have gathered," he said, "This will play an important role in the development, marketing and expansion of vehicles and the entire related sector in Gandaki Province."
