With the financial support of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, the Kanchanpur Industry and Commerce Association has organized a festival for the development of tourism along with the promotion of Nepali products. Along with the promotion of Nepali products, business is also being done at the festival. It is expected that business will expand by establishing relations among businessmen.

Banijya Sangh organized the fair in collaboration with Gorkha Kalyan Samiti. This time, the third fair is being conducted since before the corona infection. "The fair promotes cooperation between businessmen along with the marketing of Nepali products," said Jung Bahadur Malla, a central member of the Nepal Industry and Trade Federation, "Such a fair benefits both countries economically, culturally and commercially."  Uttarakhand Chief Minister Puskar Singh Dhami who arrived at the opening of the

festival said  He also said that these kinds of fairs will strengthen the relationship between the two countries. He said that such fairs will be important in solving various problems in the border area.

Former Chief Minister Rajendra Singh Rawal, who arrived for the opening of the fair, has requested for easy access to the checkpoint. They requested the chief minister to increase the opening time of Banbasa bridge and also to initiate the opening of Tanakpur barrage bridge. They said that Chief Minister Dhami has assured to take initiative by meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi soon.

The fair, which started from Friday, will last for 5 days. There will also be interaction between the businessmen of Dehradun and Nepal during the fair period. It is expected that it will help in the expansion of business between both sides.
