The government has officially informed that Kulman Ghising has been removed as the executive director of Nepal Electricity Authority. Government Spokesperson and Minister of Communication, Information and Technology Prithvisubba Gurung informed on Tuesday that Ghising has been removed from the post of Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority.
While announcing the decision of the Council of Ministers meeting on Monday, Gurung informed that Ghising has been removed as the executive director of the authority.
After the meeting of the Council of Ministers on Monday, Minister Gurung gave the statement that it was not true that Ghising was removed as the executive director. Minister Gurung also informed that Hitendradev Shakya of Lalitpur was removed from the position of executive director of the authority.
Executive Director Ghisingh was repeatedly asked for clarification by the government . Energy Minister Deepak Khadka had been giving a statement saying that Ghising did not scare the government. Kulman said that the explanation he was asked before was not satisfactory for many reasons. On the contrary, he questioned the government.
Sher Bahadur Deuba-led government appointed Kulman as the executive director of the authority for the second time on July 26, 2078. He was dismissed by the government with only four months remaining in his tenure.
The government transferred the then Executive Director Hitendradev Shakya to the Water and Energy Commission with special category facilities.
