The industrialists have said that the Nepal Electricity Authority is load-shedding without giving notice to industries that require round-the-clock electricity. Nepal Cement Producers Association, Steel Producers Association and Nepal Yarn Producers Association held a press conference on Sunday and informed that loadshedding has been going on for 12 hours or more every day since Chaita.
Even though the industrialists announced that the loadshedding in the industrial sector has ended in May 2075, the industry has continued from 076, 077, 078, 2079, 2080 and 2081 every month until February claimed to be in loadshedding for 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 7, 8, 10 hours respectively.
'The authority cannot say that it has done loadshedding, it does not say. When asking for a schedule, they are making false and misleading propaganda that there is no load shedding," the press release states, "Load shedding was being announced in industries including cement, steel and yarn, which require 24 hours of electricity. The matter of load shedding every year from January to the end of May is clear.
The industrialists have demanded 4 hours and the capacity required for the industry. Our industries cannot be shut down half the time that runs half the time. If they don't run 24 hours, the industries will stop working and the machinery will turn into garbage.'
